BoerBert is run in a modern way with respect for the environment and for animals and nature.
Welcome at BoerBert, where fifth generation Liesbeth and Jaco are the owners and food producers. In 2003 the farm converted into a biological farm where the 280 milking cows are the main part of the business. Next to that some 250 chickens produce fresh ‘polder’ eggs every day. From our milk we produce farmers cheese which is sold in our BoerBertShop. Listen to the story below.
BoerBert is much more than just a cheese farm. We also provide care for the elderly with a form of dementia, we have a daycare for young children, a special meeting room you can rent and provide daytime activities for some adolescents.
On all the rooftops of our sheds and barns you will find solar panels. They provide over 750.000 kWh that is used for our own business and some 300 households nearby.
During opening hours of the BoerBertShop you are very welcome on our farm. Here you will find all the produce from our biological farm and products from other family owned businesses. Want to stay a bit longer? You can rent on of our special haystack apartments for a countryside holiday.
