Cow-Cheese Route

Various distances – When you think of the Krimpenerwaard, you think of cows and cheese! The Cow-Cheese Route is the way to discover the most beautiful places in the Krimpenerwaard.
Really special are the old farms that you will automatically be guided past. You can literally taste the region! Cheese, honey and many other delicacies are made by hand and sold in the cozy farm shops.
Enjoy
By bike you can enjoy grazing cows and meadow birds on the elongated meadows with flowery ditch sides, with a monumental farm in the distance. Nature lovers and bird watchers can take a detour at various points on the route to visit the meadow nature and the many birds that can be found there.
The route passes cozy villages such as Stolwijk, Ouderkerk aan den IJssel and the historic city of Gouda. Along the way, also taste the hospitality of the entrepreneurs: buy cheese, honey, eggs and other products from the farmer or get to know the regional dishes in one of the cozy restaurants.
